I've been promising my wife, Sharon, for the past month or so to help her get her gardens back in order. With her working full time (and more) in one of our stores for 3 years her gardens went for crap. That store has been sold and now she has some time for her gardening again.
Here's a pic of what the garden looked like when she first built it back in 2003. This whole area was grass and weed covered. Sharon dug it all out, and all I did was haul the dirt in and move rocks where she wanted them.
I've started to enjoy gardening a bit more myself so I don't mind helping her out. I bought her a pond kit last year for Mother's Day and I finally got it put in this past weekend. It came with a pre-formed liner, pump and fountain with 3 heads. I like this umbrella head.
This shot is right after the pond was installed, we had to get a 1/2 yard of garden soil to fill it up.

I still have a few things to get for this garden, like small beach stone to put around the lighthouse, and some larger beach stones to put around the garden and the edge of the pond.
