I'm not an artistic type person, I don't think anyways. I do like to try and create things that I need though. I had an idea one night while standing in my garage with some friends drinkin' a few beers, shootin' the s**t. I wanted a different set of wirelooms for my car, a one off, something NOBODY has. A set of Flame Wirelooms! One of my buddies said he could get me some scrap aluminum to work with. In this first pic you can see the stock I used and the finished piece.

The other medium I work in is plastic. I love to detail engines for my models. Here's the engine I put together for a 57 Chev drag car I built.


Engine for a 1964 GTO. 389 Tri-power


This is a model I built for a museum display for a friend of my family's. He died during the Battle of Britain, Oct 17 1940. The nose art and serial number I made on a Word doc and printed on decal paper. The Call letters on the plane were done with a wet stencil. I designed them on Word, printed, cut out, soaked with water, then laid down on fuselage and sprayed with as little air pressure as possible to get the paint to come out my airbursh. The aging is done with pastel chalks.

Those model's are way cool....I love the detail you put into them. I guess being a kid who grew up in the 70's...model building was a huge boyhood thing to do. On the rare chance I build a model these days the smell of testor's glue takes me back to 1979...........

I stopped using Testors glue.....too many flashbacks
