Here's some pics of the diecast I showed with "LadyHawk" in our exhibit at AutoRama:

Image

Bottom shelf - 1967 326 H.O., 1969 TA, 1970.5 TA
Second shelf - 1972 TA, 1973 SD 455, 1977 TA
Third shelf - 1980 'Turbo TA' with incorrect hood & shaker, 1989 Turbo Indy Pace Car
Fourth shelf - 1994 25th Anniversayt TA, 1999 30th Anniversary TA
Top shelf - clear case with 3 1:43 scale models: 1969, 1979 & 1999

When I show with Gray Ghost, I usually fill the rear package tray with as many of the 1:18 white diecast as I can fit nicely. Since this was the first time I showed LadyHawk, I thought I'd try something different. Many folks seemed to like them this way. Note in the first picture how LadyHawk's T-tops were propped partially open.

I still can't believe that you can display stuff like that!
I have stuff like displayed in my car, with both the hood open, and the rear glass hatch.
And everytime, someone trys to take something of mine, with them.
So far, I have stopped every one!
Now, if I display, I have to shut everything up.
It's sad.
I know when I go to car shows, I love to see stuff like that!

Yeah, that is sad. You would think people could just admire and enjoy.

AutoRama is a pretty tight show. And by exhibiting in a club display, we try to keep someone keeping an eye on stuff at all times. Overnight, the facility is patrolled by armed guards. Also, if we leave the display unattended, I slide the shelves over between the cars. With six cars in two columns of three, someone would have to be pretty obvious in stepping over the 'barricade' and into the display to get their hands on anything.

Cool set up! I need to build some shelves for my diecast room. One side of my room is Firebirds and the other side is Batmobiles. One small section is my TV/Movie car collection. The TV/Movie collection are mainly 1/18 scale with the 1/64 scale version next to it and they are in an old book case.

We need to seriously compare notes over some favorite libations. I figured I was the only TA nut who was also into Batmobiles (along with Speed Racer & The Munsters)!

You like Batmobiles! I have to say I was into Batmobiles way before I was a Firebird guy. I think you going to like these then.

Back in April of 1966, I remember watching when the TV series 'Batman' first aired. I was only seven then and all we had was a black & wehite TV. But even then, I knew that was the coolest car ever built. Nothing that has transpired in the years since has caused me to change my mind. I like some of the movie cars, and especially the Tumbler, the the Barris TV Bat will forever be my favorite. I have an original Corgi 1:43 (restored) and two original Corgi Jr's (customized). I was never satisfied with the comic book renditions or any of the others that were done during the many years Barris, DC Comix and Greenway Productions were fighting over royalties and rights. Now that Hot Wheels has released it in 1:18, 1:50 and 1:64, I have added several as well. Johnny Lightning did several variations of the 1955 Ford Futura concept car, which was the basis of the Barris build for the TV series. I've got lots of info on that car, but if you're the fan I think you are, you probably know most of it already.

Merry Christmas!

Yes you are right! I am a big Fan and you are right that the 1966 Batmobile is the coolest thing on four wheels. I might not been born yet. When the Batman TV series first came on TV but I think I have seen everyone from reruns since I was 5 years old. I had started collecting Hot Wheels from 1998 to 2001 and I stopped there. Was getting tired had running out of wall space in my room. Started collecting 1/18 scale and 1/64 scale TV/Movie cars for awhile and stopped collecting all together until 2007. When I heard that Hot Wheels was going to put out the 1966 Batmobile in 1/64 scale. I was extremely excited. I think I wasted alot of gas trying to look for that car. I of course finally found one about six months later. I had to buy the elite and the standard issue of the 1/18 scale. The Super elite was beyond my price range. In fact my girlfriend at that time (my Wife now) help get the elite. I don't have any of the 1/43 scale corgi of the 1966 Batmobile but I have one corgi jr. that survived my childhood but barely. I like to wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

When I lived out in SoCal,
A car buddie who had a huge 1/1 scale car collection, also had a real batmobile.
He would take it to local car shows even.
Too bad I didn't take any photos of it.
He even had the two lambos from Rainman.
I lost alot of numbers for people when I moved out here.
