Finally a cool event around here!

This weekend I've been asked to go up to this big race up in Miramichi New Brunswick (about 3-4 hours away). I think I'm going to go, barring anything unforseen with my business. This guy from England named Andy Frost has the World's Fastest Street Car. It's a 1972 Vauxhall with 2300hp. From what I've heard it runs low 6's and he drives it on the street. His sponsors paid a boatload of cash to send him to this race with his car. He's been using my buddy's Grand Prix while he is here for 2 weeks, so I should have a chance to talk with him for a bit. His Vauxhall and transporter was supposed to arrive here yesterday. I'll be going over to the Speedshop tonight and find out more.

It's going to be a wild weekend! I'll be getting lots of pics and video footage you can bet on that!

I've been slacking at getting the videos and the pics posted here from this race weekend. I finally got the pics done so here they are.

It rained all weekend and there wasd only about a 6 hour window in which it didn't rain on Sunday afternoon. They managed to get the track dry and make some passes.
The Hyper Henry an original restored Gasser!!!


The blue Gasser is the 1966 Canadian National Champion. It is an unrestored Gasser that still races on a regular basis. The engine and tranny have been updated but the rest is as it was built.
