Welcome to SCC! You've got a lot of work ahead of you but it's great to see another 2nd gen being saved. Keep us posted on it's progress.

Welcome to the site!!

As for the project, sometimes thats the best way, you can turn around at the end with pride and say "yep i did that", nothing is impossible and there really is some great people on here with alot of knowledge.

Ive made friends on here, which seems strange as we just type to each other but the love of our cars gives us that bond.

I did mine in my the back garden of my house at the time, i had to take the fence down to get it in but......

Thanks guys, its cool to see there are folks that do it themselves and actually accomplish what they need to!! I have been told time and time again to get another one and use mine as a parts car!!! I only paid $200 for the one I got(minus and engine), and I figure the money it would cost me to find a better one I could spend on this one and have what I want!!!! I mean, I even wanted the color!!! So cross your fingers and Hardtop we might be doin some talking in a few months lol!!!!!

It definitely has potential! Once you get her done...you'll be so proud of both you and the car! She's going to make a beauty!

WolfBandit30,

Sir English Firebird and Nate are part of The Clone Club. Go check them out by clicking the link below.

They have done a large amount of GREAT work on their birds, as have many members of this forum!

I have looked at hundreds of cars. Have you ever noticed that these birds ALL rust in the EXACT same place? I bet if you lift up your carpet the passenger floor board rusted through. That was due to a heater core defect and it leaked under the carpet undetected for years. Each rusty place has a story and a reason.

I see exactly what you mean ! I've been told the exact same thing about mine. You will be proud of your car once she'll be finished, and when those lazy guys will see what you started with they'll shut their mouth right off. A $200 project car, can't beat that :D
Good luck with your project, and show us some pics !
