Hey Guys!

Here's a little tip for cleaning up your fluid jugs. It removes paint, dirt and alot of the undercoat overspray. I used this idea on my car, when I got it in 05, after I'd used it to clean paint off plastic models. Use Easy-Off oven cleaner (the foamy kind). It will not hurt the plastic. Doesn't make them white again, but looks a lot better.

My containers were really dirty, inside and out. I sprayed them, let it sit a few hours, sprayed them again, then scrubbed them the next day with my whitewall brush (plastic bristle scrub brush). I got a brush for cleaning winemaking equipment (carboys), and used that on the inside after I had sprayed it and let it sit again. They came out great, although a little of the 27 yr old rustproofing wouldn't budge, luckily it's on the backside of them.

Works good, cheaper then buying new ones.

Also, the lettering on the rad overflow jug cap can be redone by drybrushing it with flat white model paint until it looks good and clear.

Here's some before and after shots.
